Frequently Asked Questions
What is Permanent Makeup?
It is a form of cosmetic tattooing meant to enhance your natural features by implanting pigment into the skin. It’s typically used for eyebrows, eyeliner, lips to help define your features and reduce the need for daily makeup. It is perfect for anyone wanting to save time and never have to worry about smudging or not being able to see up close to put it on.
Does Permanent Makeup Hurt?
Most clients describe their reactions as a mild discomfort. Pain tolerance is specific to the individual and may vary but most people say it feels like light scratching or tickling. Areas like lips and eyes may be more sensitive but professional, high-quality numbing agents are used throughout the procedure to make the whole process very comfortable.
How Long Will It Last
This will depend on the client’s skin type, lifestyle and skincare routine but typically lasts for 1-3 years before you will need a touchup. Oily skin will have pigment fade faster than dry skin. Your eyebrows will not fully fade but will become much lighter. The general rule of thumb for optimal maintenance and longevity is have 50-70% fading before coming back in.
How much does it cost?

How do I prepare for the appointment?
Please read instructions on the Pre/Aftercare page
Do you remove brow hair before the procedure?
NO! The only hair removed is what is outside the brow map/shape designed for you. Your own natural brow hair is incorporated into the design as much as possible for the most natural, realistic look.
Do you Microblade?
No. I use a traditional tattoo machine to create hair or nano stroke brows or powder/shaded brows or a combo of both. Microblading is a manual form of Permanent Makeup that isn’t necessary if you are trained on a machine.
Do I get to assist with the brow shape, color and overall design process?
Yes you do! During your consultation we will discuss and answer any questions you have about the whole process. On the day of your first appointment I will map, design and choose a color all with your approval and input!
Is Permanent Makeup really Permanent or is it Semi-Permanent?
Once you implant pigment in your skin you now have a permanent tattoo. It will fade and lighten but will need professional removal like laser and saline to remove all pigment molecules from your skin.
